In Memorium
Frances Smith
I would like to remember a very dear friend, Frances Smith, who left us to join the eternal trail ride on September 10, 2004.

Frances and Buster enjoyed camping. Their favorite places were Cooper Lake (where I met them to try out Red before buying) and Cedar Creek, Ok.

Buster, Frances, Travler and Sunny
Frances was very involved with the South West Chapter of the MFTHBA. She participated in their many events all over the state of Texas. She helped to organize many of the shows, trail rides and really enjoyed showing off in parades.

September 25, 2004, the Foxtrotter Texas State Championship show in Marshall was dedicated to Frances. They led Sunny in with the flag ceremony, wearing his show tack, with Frances' boots in the stirrups backward. Buster had sent an E-mail about Rocky (Frances' 1st Foxtrotter) being buried in the same pasture Frances was mowing, (Frances died less than 100 yds from his grave) and how he thought they were together riding a heavenly trail. Donna King's husband (Harry) is a song writer so he wrote a song called "Texas Trails" and Donna cut a CD that was played during the memorial.
